Examples of Services Offerd by the Telecom Broker Network

Internet T1:
A T1 local access connection to the Internet that can be configured to carry either 24 digitized data channels or one aggregated concatenated data channel at a rate of 1.544 Megabits Per Second (Mbps) that is connected via a T1 Wan Interface Card (WIC), Channel Service Unit / Data Service Unit (CSU/DSU), and Internet router.

DIRECTV:
The absolute best in HD Satellite TV home entertainment. With over 250 channels of sports, movies, news, weather, local, and national programs over 100% digital signaling, DIRECTV is the industry leader in the United States serving over 16 million customers with award-winning content, customer service and technical support.

You can I still install DIRECTV if I lived in a multi-tenant buildings such as condos, apartments, and etc. The first qualifying consideration is to make sure that you have a clear line of sight to the Southern sky. In a multi-tenant building, and if you are located on the lower floors, you may run into a problem where an object or a building might be block the line of sight to the DIRECTV satellite in the Souther sky. In most cases, you would want to consult with your landlord or property manager about installing a DIRECTV satellite dish/es the roof or other suitable locations in the building.

If your property manager or landlord do not allow placing the satellite dish/es on the roof, you may request if installing the DIRECTV dish/es on your balcony or patio, or other suitable location. Sometimes the installation of your DIRECTV system (dish/es and/or converter units) may require structural changes that might be restricted or limited by the lease. In these cases, to avoid delays and possible problems in installation of your DIRECTV system, we recommend that you obtain a written or verbal permission from your property management and/or the landlord. You can also review your lease agreement to confirm permission before scheduling installation with DIRECTV and you can use the DIRECTV Installation Permissioin Form to document the permission. Any unreasonable restrictions enforeced by the property managers or landlords against installing satellite dishes that are a meter or less in size are prohibited by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

VoIP:
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service that sets up telephone calls over the Internet that are often billed at a flat rate and leverage subscribers existing broadband Internet connection. This saves money in that only one connection is needed for both voice (phone) and data (Internet) service.

VoIP can provide big company telephone features on a small company budget. You are not merely trading one system for another: VoIP represents the next generation of telephony and messaging: Control calls anytime from anywhere, view incoming calls, view missed calls, view calls you have placed, view your voice messages like emails (find the voice message you want to listen to first – listen to it through your phone, remotely, or on any sound-enabled computer, forward it to another user or an email box), click to call people in your contact directory, enjoy four-digit dialing to all of your locations, etc.

ADT Home Security Systems:
With an ADT Monitored Home Security System, your home will be monitored at all times with window and door sensors that notify you if a door or window is opened. If a window or door is unexpectedly opened, a notification will be sent immediately to ADT security and to you and local authorities may be quickly dispatched to your home.

Telecom Brokerage and Consultant Services:
Multi-Site National and Global Network Solutions: As your organization grows, so does the importance of telecommunications integration and coordination. For example, we can design a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Network that can connect all of your locations to enable sensitive data to flow back and forth at a high speed without the risk of interception. Call us at (888) 255-5859.

MPLS
MPLS VPNs use Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) to set up Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) that can isolate data traffic to provide Class of Service (CoS), Quality of Service (QoS), and ease network administration with minimal network overhead. Layer 3 MPLS VPNs (L3VPNs) use BGP, traffic isolation and Virtual Routing / Forwarding (VRF) for network routing and security. MPLS VPNs are more efficient and robust than IPSec VPN, ATM, MPLS L3VPNs.

Layer 2 MPLS VPNs (L2VPNs) are similar to Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode, or point-to-point Wide Area Networks (WANs). MPLS VPNs transport layer 2 packets across the network and encapsulate transport protocols such as ATM, Ethernet, and SONET, allowing MPLS networks to seemlessly upgrade and replace legacy layer 2 networks without requiring network reconfiguration or using protocols higher than layer 2. In comparison, layer 3 VPNs must use the layer 3 Internet Protocol (IP).

Ethernet Internet:
Ethernet is the most widely-used data network protocol today. Standardized as IEEE 802.3, the Ethernet protocol is used for local area networks (LANs) at the Layer 1 (Physical Layer) and Layer 2 (Data Link Layer) of the OSI networking model. Ethernet can be used to connect twisted copper pair networks and to connect fiber optic cable networks. It also provides a great local access medum to connect LANs to the Internet. Ethernet access to the Internet is quickly becoming the access method of choice were it is available.

DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) Service:
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a voice and data access service that supports both voice and data communication across a copper plain old telephone serivce (POTS) line and significantly increases the digital capacity of analog POTS access lines.

POTS local loop speed is increased by up to 50 times when a DSL modem is attached at the customer premise and a Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) is connected to the local access loop at the local telephone company central office (CO).

DSL service is delverd as Asymmetric DSL (ADSL) which is the most common application for Internet access, where fast downstream is required, but slow upstream is acceptable, and as Symmetric DSL (SDSL) which supports high speed access across the local access loop in both directions.

Wireless Internet Service:
Satellite Wireless Internet is a new way to access the Internet at high speeds from anywhere in the United States. Satellite Wireless Internet is delivered via satellites that orbit the Earth while transmitting and receiving high frequency radio internet data to a small dish located at the customer premise. This two-way satellite radio system is reliable, easy to set up and is mobile. You can move the subscriber satellite dish and re-connect with ease.

HughesNet offers high-speed Satellite Wireless Internet service satellite internet (sometimes incorrectly spelled satelite internet) to subscribers who are in remote locations or unique locations where DSL or other types of Internet access is unavailable. All you need to connect to HughesNet is an unobstructed view of the southern sky. Please click on the banner below for more information.

 T1 Pricing Without the Wait

Written by: Patrick Oborn - Dec 4, 2008

If you want T1 price quote in 2 seconds instead of 2 days, you need GeoQuote. Since telecom brokers have been online they have offered a valuable service. A broker will take your information and shop for pricing with carriers he or she is intimately familiar with. The problem is not the information you get back, the problem is when you get it back. Brokers can be as fast as 24 hours or as slow as 1 week. How do you speed up the process? Get a real-time quote and save yourself the wait!

While many brokers claim to get back to you quickly and some even claim to have real time quoting we have only come across one service that truly has real-time price quoting for dedicated services. Their mantra of "1.5Mbps in 1.5 seconds" is exactly what they deliver. The speed at which they offer the information is much like going to Expedia or Travelocity. When you want information now, get it from a broker that can deliver it to you now.

Online quoting for dedicated service will likely evolve into broker services much like the travel industry or the insurance industry. The complexity of the product and the geographic sensitivity of the pricing, however, has slowed this process. The only service we've found that truly offers a real-time quote is ShopforT1.com. While others may soon follow with this service these guys are truly ahead of the pack and will surely lead the field for many years to come.
